Today for
Skywatch Friday I'm sharing some experiments with camera movement while taking sunset pictures.
First, the sunset while standing still:

Next, jumping up and down while viewing the sunset through the tree,
boundaries start to blur.

Zoomed in, it's not obvious where one thing begins and another ends.

Then, moving the camera on purpose while shooting a saguaro cactus:

Here, the colors of sunset wrap around to embrace the cactus.

Cactus and sky appear to have merged.

A final shot holding steady behind a hedge
for a tranquil sunset impression:

Have a great weekend!

I was laughing when I read the part that you're jumping up and down to take the picture. However, they turned out very unique, and the beautiful sky pictures are fantastic, Diane..

ReplyDeleteO you sizzling sun.
ReplyDeletewhen day is finally done,
color washes me.
You had a lot of fun with this week's post. I love the colors in the first and last one. Would have love to have seen the "performance."
ReplyDeleteinteresting idea to jump up and down for an effect rather than a fast horizontal pan! I'm going to have to try that. I also like your saguaro picture with the blurred light streaks.
ReplyDeleteJust be careful jumping off the planet next to a saguaro, least the earth's rotation swings it into you... *smile*
I love the original shot of cactus!
ReplyDeleteTake a look at the sky over in South Korea
I never thought og jumping up and down while taking a photos. I guess it gives a whole different perspective to a picture.
