Hi Magpie, The cedar waxwings are here in the winter and they like to eat ripe desert mistletoe berries. I started seeing waxwings February 1st and saw a tree full of them this morning. :)
Amazingly sharp photos! Love the strings in the sky, and birds (just came out from hair dresser?) but the sun dog is the best! I don't think I've seen any before, except last year saw round halos. Your wish is beautiful, so I wish the same to you!
I love the sky photos of feathery clouds and the silhouette of cacti too. Very stunning photographs. I feel joy looking at the photos. Have a nice day.
The clouds have been so beautiful lately.
ReplyDeleteAs always I envy your bird photos !
cheers, parsnip
Both that Blue Bird and the spectacular Sun Dog make me smile! (Leaving for skiing on a chilly morning but your desert looks mighty tempting!)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that we had cedar waxwings in the state? Are they just passing through? Beautiful shots!
ReplyDeleteI'm always thrilled to see the bluebirds and the cedar waxwings. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteHasn't the weather been gorgeous? I would prefer more rain because we need it so badly, but it sure does make for some nice photo opportunuties.
