Old Tucson

Back in January, I had an opportunity to walk around Old Tucson Studios early in the morning before they opened. Although the place might look deserted in these snapshots, a running event was happening with hundreds of people meandering through the little town and cheering at the finish line. Here are some quiet moments from the venue:

    Beautiful shots. I like the Crooked Creek Chapel shot with the sun coming up in background. This place is a lot of fun for gatherings. We had several parties here at night and it was very special.

    Well, I think that is really a lot of "about it for now" ... wonderful, wonderful, wonderful photos today !
    The last photo of Gates Pass is lovely.
    One of my favorite drives.

    When Japanese Family come over for a visit next month maybe I will send them over for the afternoon.

    I grew up around that area so for me I forget it's not just my neighborhood but a place to visit !

    beautiful shots and composition Dianne, that adobe ruin is very interesting, especially with your beautiful composition. and yes, the crow is real, what a beautiful landscape.

    I love all the photos....that second photo is my favorite....the adobe ruins and the one below it with the flower and also the glass window...ahh I love them all....looking at them calms one's spirit...

    And I was just in Tucson two weeks ago (I live in North Carolina)to go to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. I took the long way via Speedway to Gates Pass Road, stopping along the way to take pictures. I love the Arizona desert, but if I could live anywhere it would be up in the Dragoon Mountains near Benson.

    Oh it's been a long time since we've driven down Gates Pass Road. All the road construction in Tucson kept us away the last couple of years we lived in AZ.

    That's a nice series of images from Old Tucson. I like that burro.
