Besides

Lots of people at 6:00am...probably trying to beat the heat,
but it was already hot and muggy!

 |
snake climbing on the tree |
 |

 |

That was more wildlife than I typically see in this area.
It's usually quiet here except for the people.
Bye for now. Have a great day!
This is an amazing post with so many charming desert creatures "captured". Really splendid and wonderful
ReplyDeleteI think they are all out and about early because of the heat. It is really busy at my home in the early morning but very quiet all day till the early evening.
ReplyDeleteIt is Summer !
Where you walking or on the tram ?
If you ever see a light blue convertible VW bug in the handicapped parking .... that's me !
But I usually come later.
After seeing your photos I need to get there earlier.
cheers, parsnip
The jack looks hot, and the javelinas look as if they're thinking "oh, crap, we've been spotted...hurry UP!" LOL Great photos!
ReplyDeleteI was out in the downpour yesterday, arms and face lifted to the rain, got drenched and chilly and it felt awesome. The desert sure makes me appreciate the rainfall. :-)
Oh, crap! I should have known there would be a photo of a snake. I like you anyway. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful wild life. And I cannot believe how big the ears on that jack rabbit are. He's so cute.
ReplyDeleteA wildlife bonanza! Your photos are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBoy look at the ears on the rabbit in your photo. You are so fortunate to have all that interesting wildlife around you.!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing array of desert critters you saw, and great photos of them too!
ReplyDeleteHa, ha...poor Tracy! These are all so great. I love the jack rabbit...he looks all done in and just a little evil. :)
ReplyDeleteYou really struck it rich, Diane... I love seeing all of the wildlife there.. Those Javelinas are interesting looking animals....
ReplyDeleteThe snakes made me shiver....
Great pictures. Thanks.
Hugs,
Betsy
Those are some amazing shots!!! Nice sightings. Incredible. I think right now, because I'm seeing the same things, is that early or late are very active with our intense heat. The critters know that and are out the minute the sun comes up. I'm up at 5 every morning and the birds are already at the feeders. Incredible! Love all your pictures. Sabino is such a beautiful area!
ReplyDeleteGosh that jack rabbit... their ears so long... I think they can hear really well hehe...
ReplyDeleteMr Jack Rabbit looks exhausted... was he running away from your camera??
ReplyDelete:-)
How I miss Az... perhaps not the javelinas though. They used to scare me when they were out looking for food near the place where I was teaching.
What an incredible diversity on a single walk!! Love the snake pictures.
ReplyDeleteThe last photo is so funny!
ReplyDeleteAnd I admire those people running....
But I SAW a snack...dis I not??? hug...I'm so afraid!
Listen: I heard about the tornadoes (in the news) and about the huge fire in Colorado.Where do you live? Hope you are Okay!
Hugs
BShell

ReplyDeletelove the wildlife and your part of the world looks amazing!!
What amazing pics..thanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteWow..that is so neat to see different critters like this in one morning.
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos, Diane!
Que fortuna estar tan cerca de esos seres, y tenerles respeto.
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
Those jackrabbit ears are huge! Love the snake in the tree and the javalinas. What a great walk, with so many sights to photograph.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots, so much wild life there.
ReplyDeleteΕίναι πολύ ενδιαφέρουσες εικόνες!Συγχαρητήρια.
ReplyDeleteJackrabbits, deer and gopher snakes are plentiful around here as well. The deer and rabbits regularly prune my plants.
ReplyDeleteWszystkie zwierzęta piękne, wąż też , ale boję się go. Pozdrawiam.
ReplyDeleteAll animals were beautiful, the snake too, but I am afraid of him. Yours.
It's been a long time since I've seen a jackrabbit. A wonderful post - I miss seeing all the desert animals...well, maybe *not* the snakes, but pictures are okay! ;-)
