A Good Start

And, looking out the window this morning, I had an exciting wildlife observation.  A skunk!  Four kinds of skunks live in this area: spotted, striped, hooded and hog-nosed.  I didn't get a picture but I could easily see that it was black with solid white on its back and tail, just like the hog-nosed skunk in this picture from Wikipedia.

    Just noticed that you'll be a grandma again soon! It's so cold here in CO, I always look forward to your desert photos. Might visit AZ again in the spring for my "fix." Love the bright yellow cacti!

    Great group of pictures, Diane. You live in such an interesting area... There are so many things to photograph.

    We have skunks here --and they are all colors of black and white... I even found one on my deck one time... Yipes!!!

    Many of these images are breathtakingly radiant! My favorite is of the bean pods against the blue sky (5th photo down) ... I really love the sharpness and simplicity.

    And how cool that you saw a skunk! LOL

    Wonderful !
    So funny but for all the wildlife that wanders through my land I have not seen a skunk.
    We had a Bobcat visit on Christmas Day.

    Great photos! I love the wildlife shots.
    Seeing a skunk just outside the window must've been fun - as long as he didn't decide you were a threat and give you a scented surprise!
