I've done many Skywatch Friday posts before, but this is my first My World Tuesday entry.
Yesterday Chris and I went downtown to watch a running event called Get Moving Tucson. Seven hundred people participated in the 10 mile run and 5K run/walk.
The roads downtown were closed to traffic for a while, even to cyclists.
The Tucson Meet Yourself festival was also taking place while we were downtown.
And, I was like a kid in a candy store snapping pictures left and right of art and architecture.
We've been to several running events this year with our middle son. Our oldest son likes to go to a social walk/run downtown on Monday evenings called Meet Me at Maynards. Next month is the annual 109 mile El Tour de Tucson bike race which starts and ends downtown. None of our boys have participated in the bike race, but we still like to watch it.

Hi Diane,
Just wanted to thank you for following my blog. I'm not much of a runner, but I sure admire those that love to run.
Oh, yes indeed! You did capture the spirit, excitement and festival mood! Marvelous shots! Looks like a fun day! Thanks for taking us along!
Have a great week!

Welcome to My World! What a nice first entry! This event is so much fun! I have done at least 6 times the Revlon Run Walk.
Thanks to the virtual tour of Tucson, makes me want to visit.
Enjoy your week.
Hi Dianne. Great captures of the event.
That is one thing I cannot do and that is run. I get tired just watching these people. :)
Love the art on display. I may have to make it to Tucson some day.
Oh wow, you did a good job at documenting the event. So many people! Love the way you grouped your photos! Lovely!
Looks like a fun event, Diane..Beautiful art pieces!
The Meet Yourself festival sounds interesting and the photos you captured are wonderful. It looks like it was a really great weekend.
They are lively and energitic pictures.
Run, run, run, and I just returned from my an-hour run.
Whoa! what a busy world you had the other day Diane. Love it when people really participates a community's event. Shows unity, that is for me. Have a nice day!
Very festive, Diane. That's a bustling city!
Runs can be interesting to watch, I enjoyed observing the LA Marathon. It looks like you all had a good time.
Eric and Mark plan to do the California International Marathon in Sacramento in December. I don't know if I will get to see it and take pictures or if I will be with Michael.
Running is a great health enhancer. This post remind me to take steps to improve my health. I like the strange looking tribal statues. Nice presentation of the event.
