Your leisury walks are so well documented and rewarding!
The first picture says it all. So beautiful.
I am wondering if Thoreau would have lived in the desert and written a book about his experience, lol.
The saying is so much true though.
Love the watercolor effect of the cactus wren! Great idea.
If they talk, they'll tell many stories, and only if we want to listen.
Oh Diane, I love your desert pictures, especially all the birds that you get to see. Gorgeous photos!
Very lovely shots :-)
Love the bird and the squirrel photo !!
The mountaintops photo is almost a postcard BEAUTIFUL !!!
Wow Diane, You had a great little hike, didn't you???? Isn't it amazing what all we can see (and photograph) when we are out in nature????? Gorgeous shots today.
Hugs,
Betsy
Hi Diane. The first shot looks like a Saguaro cemetery. That cactus wren is a brave bird!
They are all beautiful Diane but the wren... Fantastic.
Thanks so much for sharing views from your walk with us ... almost like being there with you ;-)
Hugs and blessings,
Diane, what a delightful place for a leisurely walk. You get great bird shots. I struggle with that. I especially like the reflection bird, but best the frosted cactus skeleton. Mike has been playing with those very craftily. Great post!
Wonderful photos. That first scene is beautiful. Alway love seeing snow in the desert.
Snow on the mountain and dessert below? That's a cool pic! Also that reflected goldfinch silhouette pic - the proportion is equal as well.
I totally agree with you Diane, the nature is one and continous evrywhere!
Love the animal in actions.
My favourite shot is the first, second and last bottom.
Happy day:)
what a beautiful sight!
Diane, your bird shots, especially the goldfinch are precious. Oh, how I wish I could capture photos like that. The snow on the mountaintops with the desert foreground is really cool. A fascinating shot.
Your desert is alive with birds. They must make a cheerful sound when go hiking. The weather finally improved so Jules and I could go walking in the regional park. Heard very few birds but did see a coyote.
Beautiful shots of landscape and very colorful lovely birds.
What a lovely leisurely walk you had, love all the photos especially the sepia toned prickly pear cactus skeleton and the cactus wren.
Have a nice day Diane. Thanks for sharing.
It's nice to see many different type of birds. The watercolor effect gives it a different and interesting look. I like the goldfinch reflections. It looks perfect.
