Agave Library

These pictures of the Agave Library in Phoenix were taken by my son Brian in June.  The building was designed by architect Will Bruder.  I like the creative use of ordinary building materials such as galvanized and rusted steel, concrete blocks and recycled sidewalk pieces.

Pretty neat, right?

That is an interesting looking building! I love your quilts too, Diane, they must take ages to make.

Sounds as if this building was built with an emphasis on Green. Very creative, as you say.

Very interesting. A bit too modern, for my tastes, but definitely interesting.

I really like your mosaic, but the building itself isn't quite my cup of tea.

That is a very interesting building and great job of photography on Brian's part. I like the collage, which I assume you did although I know how artistic Brian is.

Nice clean lines. I like the idea of multiple, and especially recycled, materials. The collage reminds me of bar codes.

It's very stylish and emphasises the clean lines of the desert!

Hello from a snowy UK. I have stumbled upon your lovely blog and have added myself as your latest follower on GFC and Nteworked blogs (under my real name). I particularly like your photos and I see that you have visited South Africa too. We went twice last year but I think your photos look better than ours. (lots of me grinning stupidly at the camera!)Please do drop by my blog and maybe follow if you would like.
Warmest wishes.

the building is without any doubt interesting and the architect is "wonderfully creative" such creativity and novelty in buildings is hard to find ... ☺ the mosaic is superb

I like the idea that it was built with recycled materials as well as simple ones. I wish there were more architects who think "green."

of course I love it since it's like more of architecturally featured here.

Nice piecing! It reminds me of one of our son's architectural assignment.
