I just finished making this little amigurumi cat with maize colored cotton yarn.
The crochet pattern is fun and easy:
Fold the flat rectangular body piece and stitch to form legs.
Sew on the head and tail -- and the kitty is done!
Looks like the ginger colored cat approves.
(The cat on the left isn't mine. He just happened to wander in while I was taking pictures.)

Very creative. And cute!
lol, he wandered in? How timely of him. That's a cute little kitten and does look very easy to make. Love it!
At least you don't have to feed either of them.
That's so cool, Diane! Is this for sweet Tyler Jet?
Thanks Icy - Crochet Kitty is for me since I'm crazy about cats. But I am working on a lion for little Tyler Jet. :D
Looks like someone has been chewing on your wanderin'-in cat's ear. These little crocheted animals are all so cute.
oh, it is so cute, Diane. though you said it is easy but I doubt I can make it, my hands don't get it :(
My Goodness, what a darling kitty and how convenient that the real kitty just moseyed in at the right time.
Can't wait to see the lion.
cheers, parsnip
The cat found a new friend ;-D Your crochetted kitty is nice! Love the simplicity of the look and process.
Bellissimo il tuo amigurumi, Diane! E' davvero tenero e simpatico e non sembra neanche troppo difficile. Grazie per la segnalazione del blog di Marmaladerose con il pattern, potrei provarci anch'io. Ciao, buon week end!
What a cute crochet project! The real kitty certainly looks "at home". ;-)
Adorable! Soon little Tyler Jet will have a nice private zoo to visit...

That looks like a fun project.
When I see your crochet projects it always make me think of your Grandmother.
Thanks for this pattern! My daughter likes to crochet and this may be just the thing! So darling.
Oh cute. I often lament my lack of creativity and talent in this area....Maybe one day I can figure it out?
Very sweet:)
Beautiful!
That's cute though I never learned to crochet.
