Every single picture is beautiful, but the water does look like an exclusive piece of jewelry! Wonderful.

Nice place to walk. I like the contrasts between sparkly waters and desert environments.

Fabulous photos...that first one with the pink hooked needles is yummy...in a non-edible way, of course! ;-)

Your desert pics are mind blowing and splendid.Love the birds, the cactii, the cool stream, the barren rock, the sparse vegetation - there is immense beauty everywhere.
Have a great week end.

What a lush desert; awesome photos you're sharing with us, Diane. I love your bird photos too. The first one looks like our Brown Babbler while the second one is similar to our Spotted Palm Thrush. Greetings from Kenya, Jo

Diane, such wondrous photos of your desert. What is that image above the heart? (it's magical.) And, I see a heart in there, too.

Hi Barb, the image above the heart is just a snapshot of the play of light, shadow and reflection in the shallow water where the sun was shining on the pebbles on the floor of the creek.

i love all the pictures, they are speak about beauty we find in nature, but have to echo some of them, that the water abstract is like a piece of jewelry, you always bring nature so wonderfully Diane.

Re: Tracy...that's what I said! Diane do you use a tripod? You're shots are always so crisp and clear. Beautiful. That water does look like jewels and your bird shots are truly amazing.

You got some great shots, Diane. I love the picture of the water, I can stand on a bridge for a long time just watching the changing patterns.
The heart shaped rock in the river reminds me of a similar (but smaller) rock that Mark brought me, he'd found it while hiking.

Hi Magpie, thank you for your question. I don't usually use a tripod. I just hold the camera as steady as I can and take lots of photos.
