Great photos today. The grasses are lovely and great close-up on the grasshoppers. Plus any poor grasshopper who is call a Horse Lubber better be very stylish with a name like that !
cheers, parsnip
Beautiful variety.
Love your grasshoppers. There are so many of them. I have officially associated them with mosquitoes and chiggers. When they're gone, it will be safe to go out to a place without having to use bug repellent:)
It's been ages and ages since I've seen a grasshopper! I know I was scared to death of them but they really are beautiful! Great photos!
Grasshoppers, on one hand, are so adorable, but then on the other hand, they kind of creep you out! Great photos of them!!!

Wow! I really don't know what else to say. Those photos are the bomb!
The exoskeleton is freaky cool! I didn't realize that so many of the grasshoppers were so brightly colored. The light play in your final shots was amazing.
i have never been lucky in photographing grasshopper, these are beautiful set of photos again, Diane.
Priceless collection!
Such a pleasure to see all these grasshopers in their diversity. They must really feel at home in this environment.
