What beautiful photos of your birds and shrubs. I've never seen any of these so thank you for sharing. Greetings Jo
Good series. The Phainopepla, Crest has a very curious :))good Thursdaya kiss.
Mary talks about how the phainopepla helps to reseed the desert with its droppings. I've never seen a photo of one before. I love the picture of the little cactus wren on the saguaro skeleton - I enlarged it to get a better view.
I just love the cactus wrens. They are the most fascinating acrobatic birds ever. They make me laugh.Fabulous photos.cheers, parsnip
And we get to have them year-round! I wish I would see a phainopepla someday...
How many birds have you ticked of on your Spotting list?
This is a new look of another month and another season.

Hey, I think it's a Curved-bill Thrasher that visits my neighbor's chimney most mornings… ;-) Love the distinctive red eye set in the glossy black feathers…and a ways back I LOVE that photo of the butterfly on the Bird of Paradise…!
I'll bet the wren sang you a pretty song. Great bird shots!
