Once Around

At the school I had just enough time to walk around the track once slowly with my camera. It had just rained and I was delighted to see several birds and even some flowers.

phyrrhuloxias and sparrow

desert marigold

cholla

cactus wren

prickly pear

house finch

brittlebush

mockingbird, white-crowned sparrow, verdin, curve-billed thrasher
house finch, cactus wren , vermilion flycatcher

  Enjoy your day!

The rain drops on the two photos of cactus spines are beyond fabulous.
I have a photo of raindrops on a prickley pear that is my favorite.
Have wonderful weekend.
Below freezing tonight. It is too early for that !

cheers, parsnip

Wow, a vermilion flycatcher! I've only ever seen one at Hassayampa River Preserve and I didn't have a very long lens then so my shot isn't very good. Yours is lovely. Happy New Year!
