Your haiku reminds me of the Curved Bill Thrashers I've been seeing lately. I guess it's the males who perch up high at this time of year to sing their pretty mating songs.
These are such beautiful photos. You really capture the beauty of this environment! Most people think of the desert as colorless, you certainly prove that theory wrong. These are gorgeous! Kathy
