Reflections of Robins and Waxwings

 

Early one morning, I spotted these robins and cedar waxwings enjoying quick sips from a puddle of rainwater.

  1. I like these pictures. I don't think that I've ever seen a waxwing before. I saw a robin for the first time about a year ago but now I see them all the time. The waxwing reflections at the bottom are excellent.

  9. We have cedar waxwings her...but I have NEVER seen them drinking out of a puddle. Very cool!

  18. You really captured a great reflective moment in these pictures. It almost looks like a lot more birds than there are. And this is the first I've seen a Waxwing. I love those black bands.

  19. In New England, waxwings are big berry eaters(such as mulberry). I wonder what they eat around here---maybe desert mistletoe berries.

  24. I simply love the Cedar waxwings! but we don't see them here until close to fall when the berries form on the Madrone. What a great reflection!
