Hi there! Here are shadows from last March that I don't think I've posted yet. The shadows are from branches, thick and thin, of native Sonoran Desert plants:
|
Mesquite tree |
|
Palo Verde and Mesquite trees |
|
Saguaro cactus |
|
Staghorn Cholla cactus |
|
Globe Mallow wildflowers |

All great shadows. There is something special about the long shadows of a desert.
ReplyDeleteAll of us like shadow. It provides us a cool place under the hot sun.
ReplyDeleteI laugh so hard sometimes at our AZ get togethers....all these people trying to fit in the very little shade of our trees:) You cannot avoid the sun here. Love your shadow pics.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your shadows -- they mean there's lots of sun and you don't have to search for shadows!! These are fantastic, Diane! Enjoy your weekend!!

Lots of interesting shapes in your desert. The trees and shrubs show off their form.
ReplyDeleteTree branches and leaves always are good subjects for shadow shots. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThe trees and wildflowers are beautiful. However, that massive cactus looks and leaves a shadow that is so unusual to a New Englander, a thorny beauty!
ReplyDeleteTJ is adorable, with a smile second to none!
Very nice series of photos!
ReplyDeleteYou live in a great place for finding shadows! They are all wonderful and I can't believe you've been hiding them all this time in your archives. :)
