Tucson to San Diego

We went on a road trip to visit my mom in Los Angeles.  These are some of the things we saw along the drive from Tucson to San Diego.

  1. Interesting sights along your way. The metal sculpture reminds me of some we saw in Borego Springs last year.
We'll head for San Diego in a few weeks with Eric and his family, I guess we'll just miss a chance to visit with you.
I hope you find your mother well, give her my love.

  2. I know Interstate 8 so well I could drive it in my sleep.
I have had to drive Interstate 10 quite a lot recently and I think it is not as pretty.
    Loved your Ocean photo.
I used to live just up PCH in Laguna Beach for many years and I still miss the Ocean.

    Have a lovely time.

    cheers, parsnip

  5. I think I've seen every one of those photos in person. Nice trip across there. Well...not in August, that is. Shheesh. Is Yuma the hottest place in the world or what. It even makes Phoenix seem cool(er). :)

A road trip, huh? How long does that take you?

That horse sculpture is fantastic, so are the landscapes of course and I really like the seagull at the end of the trip!

  9. Love your photos.hey are always amazing. The strelitzias are very striking against that grey wall.

can you tell me are those wind farms as noisy as people say they are...

We should be beginning to feel the warmth of summer coming by now, but all the rain is keeping it so cool...had all my winter woolies washed ready to store for the summer, and have had to use them again.

  14. we have driven from Phoenix to San Diego once, and I love the scenery I saw though there were some parts where a tad scary for me because the road is between mountains that are loaded of rocks and I was thinking what if those rocks will fall on us? But really a great drive with so much diversity, I guess why I am always fascinated with the desert.
