Greetings from Tucson -- These pictures were taken through the glass door on an unusually cold day in February. The bird puffed up its feathers briefly, probably in an effort to keep warm. It's not cold here now. Have a good day!
Wonderful ! You are so lucky to have one sitting so nicely so you were able to get some great photos. The one who has been around my home is usually just a flash of feather as it zooms by my window as he picks up lunch and is munching his way through my very unwanted critter population. I love him !
Great shots, especially that last one. Glass doors and windows do make great blinds, I shoot through them often. A coopers hawk swooped through our yard today but to fast for a shot.
LOL great capture of the fluffed feathers! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat great photos, Diane! You must have a monster lens or was it really that close?
ReplyDeleteTracy, it was pretty close, about 15 feet away.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyable pics!
ReplyDeleteWOW! We have Coopers Hawks here, but I've never seen one close enough to get a good photo.

We had a hawk circling over the yard last week, so the girls wouldn't put the bunny or guinea pigs out. :) I guess that's a wise choice.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bird you saw here!
Really beautiful captures!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lindy...
