Skywatching

So far this week:

Clouds on Monday

moon with clouds




white-winged dove on saguaro




black throated sparrow on ocotillo




agave


followed by clear enough skies to see the trio of planets Tuesday after sundown

Mercury, Venus, Jupiter  5/28/2013

and again on Wednesday (sort of)

5/29/2013

and the moon this morning.

    The swirly clouds on Monday were fabulous they seemed to zoom around in the sky. I took a photo of them just pointing and clicking into the sun. When I later looked at the photo I was so amazed.
    I tried to see the planets but I either was too early or too late.

    Your photos are always so wonderful.

    Those planetary pictures are outstanding. The agave stalk is very sentimental for me. I did my senior thesis on the uses of agave by the southwestern natives in the 19th century.

    Oh wow, I'm totally speechless. How absolutely wonderful!!!

    NO chance of seeing anything here, it's been pouring with rain for weeks and weeks on end... So much for spring :-(

    I saw the trio of planets, but I didn't take a photo. Don't think my camera is good enough. Love the saguaro blooms with the dove.
