A pair of cardinals visit the bird feeder often. A few years ago cardinals were raising young in our backyard but I haven't found any nests recently.
Speedy, our pet turtle, patrols the yard for insects.
Have a good week!
Your captures of birds are fantastic. The hummingbird is especially great.
ReplyDeleteDo cardinals mate for life? I love the colour of the male cardinal although I think his crest makes him look rather weird.
ReplyDeleteall gorgeous!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous desert images. I like the name Speedy. I'm also enjoying some desert warmth near Fountain Hills, AZ.
ReplyDeleteThe week should only be at its best after seeing these pics. So full of colors and happiness.
ReplyDeleteNice shots of the birds, especially the cardinals...
ReplyDeleteI have a Cardinal pair who visit me and I must admit I love the way the Female looks over the showy male.

A flowery spring that is full of sounds of the birds.
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful photos !!
ReplyDeleteLove the cardinals. I guess we have them up here in Phoenix but I never see them, I think they're maybe outside the city more. What sort of hummingbird is that? I only see Anna's in my yard. Cute kitties, and cute young roadrunner. It looks lovely where you live...
ReplyDeleteHi Maccandace, the little hummer is a broad-billed, that is the most common type in my yard.
ReplyDeleteI am rather jealous of your home and feel like being a cat right now! ;-)
