June Birds

Hello! Here are some backyard birds:

backyard birds June
cardinals, roadrunner, house finch, house sparrows,
ash-throated flycatcher and Gambel's quail

The pair of cardinals usually visit the feeder at dawn and dusk when it's too dark for pictures, but this time I caught them on the chair at midday.

Linking with Saturday's Critters hosted by Eileen.

  2. Lucky you, I can never get both my Cardinals in one photo.
    Wonderful photos today.
A few years ago on a super hot day it was 116+ ? it was so hot a baby cardinal came to rest and cool off in the shade by my kitchen window. He was holding his wing away from his body and beak open. The mum and dad were close by.
I had umbrellas over the water fountains to give all the birds some cooling shade.
    That was a bad summer.

    cheers, parsnip

  5. My backyard -balcony- consists entirely of big city (i.e. dirty, smelly and diseased) pigeons who leave their 'gifts' there every day and I would oh so trade for yours!

    Lovely collage!
