What a great critter post.. I love the cute Quail family.. And the Spider are cool, not too sure about a tarantula. UUGH!! Great post and photos. Thank you for sharing your post with my critter party.. Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I especially like the 4th one.
ReplyDeleteHave a great month!
These critters are lining up to make their appearance.
ReplyDeleteGreat desert lives.
I haven't seen a tarantula here, but did see one when we went up to Mogollon and rented a cabin two years ago. He was resting on one of the logs by the door where one entered and never moved. Seeing your saguaros, I know you are in the southern half of the state. Loved your photos. Looks like the perfect trail on which to walk!
ReplyDeleteI always have lots of tarantulas around my home at this time of the year,
ReplyDeleteI accidentally killed a baby while trying to get it out of the house. I felt bad. I like them because they eat scorpions !
cheers, parsnip
Wonderful photos from your walk. The spiders aren't my favorite critters, but your shots of them are great.
ReplyDeleteI have seen all of these except the spiders on my trip to Arizona. I'm thinking I am glad that I didn't see the spiders even though I think they are great and interestng in pictures. I have held a tarantula. They are more like furry little pets, but the others I know nothing about. Wonderful pictures, Diane ...

Oh, hello Mr. Ground Squirrel!!!!! You are such a doll. Love the flora and fauna, but the spiders, not so much!!!!! Lolol. The tunas on the cactus are so gorgeous. Now we know where we got the color MAGENTA!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat capture, I like the quails.
ReplyDeleteThough I don't really mind spiders, tarantulas give me the creeps! :-)Love the quail family!
ReplyDeleteWonderful series!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos!

A great series of photos! The nature is so beautiful. The photos of the spiders are gorgeous although I wouldn´t like to have them around my home ;)
ReplyDeleteWonderful blend of photos… I'm partial to the quail (I call them bobble-heads) and adore the tarantula … I didn't know tarantula ate scorpions! Hmmm…I wonder if I could find someone who breeds tarantulas? And, if so, I wonder how I might entice one to stay in our back yard and eat our annoying scorpions! LOL
ReplyDeleteHope you remember me (had the blog Artistique on blogspot but moved to wordpress) - have seen the prcikly pear in the grocery store - is it worth eating? And how do you prepare it for eating?
ReplyDeleteAm disturbed about what is happening at the AZ and TX borders - I hope your state is able to do something about it!
Great photos. I really like the spiders and tarantulas. Those guys don't get enough press!
ReplyDeleteI'm horrified of spiders but the others are great shots!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a different ecosystem in the desert!
