Summer Strolls and Spiders

Hello! All of these images are from July. I have woven three spiders in with my morning walk pictures. I found the spiders around the house: one on the ceiling, one on the wall and one on the ground.

  4. I haven't seen a tarantula here, but did see one when we went up to Mogollon and rented a cabin two years ago. He was resting on one of the logs by the door where one entered and never moved. Seeing your saguaros, I know you are in the southern half of the state. Loved your photos. Looks like the perfect trail on which to walk!

  5. I always have lots of tarantulas around my home at this time of the year,
I accidentally killed a baby while trying to get it out of the house. I felt bad. I like them because they eat scorpions !

  6. Wonderful photos from your walk. The spiders aren't my favorite critters, but your shots of them are great.

  7. I have seen all of these except the spiders on my trip to Arizona. I'm thinking I am glad that I didn't see the spiders even though I think they are great and interestng in pictures. I have held a tarantula. They are more like furry little pets, but the others I know nothing about. Wonderful pictures, Diane ...

  12. A great series of photos! The nature is so beautiful. The photos of the spiders are gorgeous although I wouldn´t like to have them around my home ;)

  13. Wonderful blend of photos… I'm partial to the quail (I call them bobble-heads) and adore the tarantula … I didn't know tarantula ate scorpions! Hmmm…I wonder if I could find someone who breeds tarantulas? And, if so, I wonder how I might entice one to stay in our back yard and eat our annoying scorpions! LOL

  14. Hope you remember me (had the blog Artistique on blogspot but moved to wordpress) - have seen the prcikly pear in the grocery store - is it worth eating? And how do you prepare it for eating?
Am disturbed about what is happening at the AZ and TX borders - I hope your state is able to do something about it!
