  3. Mary talks about how the phainopepla helps to reseed the desert with its droppings. I've never seen a photo of one before. I love the picture of the little cactus wren on the saguaro skeleton - I enlarged it to get a better view.

  12. Hey, I think it's a Curved-bill Thrasher that visits my neighbor's chimney most mornings… ;-) Love the distinctive red eye set in the glossy black feathers…and a ways back I LOVE that photo of the butterfly on the Bird of Paradise…!
