Skywatch - Sweet Sunset

Yesterday afternoon at the track, the clouds over the mountains to the northeast were looking like a stylized sunset.
The clouds turned pink briefly before fading away.
Meanwhile, the real sunset was taking place in the opposite direction, to the southwest.
On the way home, a delicate sliver of the moon appeared beyond the mesquite and juniper trees.

Beautiful skies in all directions. I always love how the clouds turn pink. That sliver of moon rising in the pink sky is so delicate.

Yes! You have to be ready when the sky creates a beautiful picture! It will change so quickly (into an even prettier picture)! These are amazing captures. I really like the top photos since they are more unusual...reminds me of a crown.

Yes, a very sweet sunset indeed. The clouds in the first image look like a drawing of the sun. Great series Diane.

Ooo, I love the cloud formation on the first shot! It looks like a dolphin jumping for joy! Great composition, too.
I would stay and wait until the sun comes down and turn different colors!

P.S. Love your new header!

I like the first one the best. It reminds me of the skies in colorado when I would go jetskiing in the afternoon or early morning.

Thanks for sharing.

Sometimes when we get a lot of sky lines, we have rain the next day. Could that be it? Whatever it is, they are pretty.
