MWT - Around the park
Chris and I were at Reid Park Sunday morning for our son's running event. Since we would be there for a couple of hours, I decided to explore the path that goes around the park. The weather was a cool 40 F and there was still frost on some of the grassy slopes at the golf course.
Raven on top of a telephone pole
I don't know what building this is but it looked old and I liked the details on it.
A bank on Broadway Boulevard
El Con Mall across the street with snow on the Catalina Mountains in the distance
Lizard decoration on a home near the park
Mystery bird identified as Vermilion Flycatcher by EileeninMD.
Peaceful duck pond
Coot
Starlings on a saguaro cactus in the parking lot
I got back to the north side of the park just in time to see Kevin finish running his 10K.

A wonderful scenes.
Great world.
Thanks for sharing.
Great post for the day! Love your photos, as always. And what a marvelous, interesting park! Great shots of the birds, too! Congrats to your son for the run!! Hope you have a lovely week, Diane!

What an absolutely delightful series of lovely views from your world. Thanks for taking us along on your walk. Love the mosaic with detailed shots from the 'unknown' building ... the crow playing 'king of the world' ... and the starlings in the saguaro cactus especially. I appreciate your visits ... have been having trouble visiting lately myself because Mozilla keeps crashing. I have a faulty WLAN card it seems but I'm doing what I can this morning.
Hugs and blessings,
Beautiful place, Diane... AND--aren't you proud of your son????
Reid Park is somewhere you did to go back in every season and take more pictures for us... GORGEOUS!!!
Thanks.
Hugs,
Betsy
Oooh a lovely post!
The starlings on the Saguaro photo is fantastic, Diane.
What a wonderful series of your world, Diane! I love the reflections on the glass window of a bank on Broadway Boulevard
The lizard looks so real, so is my squirrel.
Wonderful shots, I love the lizard decorations. And I believe your mystery bird is a Vermillion Flycatcher and is a beautiful bird.
I bet the runners appreciated the cool temps.
You found a great variety on your look around, I guess all the wild life was out enjoying and appreciating the cooler temps too. :)
Another beautiful day. So nice to see that blue sky again after the wild weather that went through last week. The snow on the mountains looks pretty.
I like the composition of the starlings on the saguaro. Lots of great detail there. Beautiful mystery bird; love that color!
Congratulations to your son for completing the 10K!
Nice pics. Broadway Boulevard building detail is nice.
Great shots. The old building and the details are interesting.
Kevin doesn't even look tired at the end. There was lots to see while you waited. These shots give a good feel for the character of Tucson.
That lizard could be quite scary at night he he... I like that cute mystery bird ;-)
Cool pics and great shots as always Dianne! Have another great day.
Diane, I love your blog and images. I come here to soak up the sun!
I love that cute coot (haha) and its reflection. Really cool photo.
Eileen, thanks for identifying the mystery bird as a Vermilion Flycatcher. :)
Great shots!
My favourite are the 5th, 6h, 9th and 11th.
Nothing is more important than keeping up with exercise and seeing the world....and sharing with great joy!
Thanks Diane, have a restful days and also for the coming weekends!
Nice work, it's cool to be able to see what you're seeing.
Beautiful, simply beautiful and I love running. Been doing it for 25 years! Yeah to your son!
Great shots. I really like the one with the raven.
You took gorgeous pictures of your world!
Thank you for 'taking us to your world'. Great captures Diane. It always amazes me to see birds resting on the cactus.
beautiful photos! Love the colorful vermilion and those black birds in the cactus, so cute!
What a wonderful place for a walk, there is so much to see. And I agree with Lindy that the blue sky is a real treat for those of us in gloomy weather country right now.
A lot of interesting elements here like the lizard and most esp the bank design.
I cannot pick my favorite, cause everything is beautiful in your side of the world. I am just fascinated with the weather vane.
