Skywatch - Bear Canyon

Greetings from the Sonoran Desert! Here are some sky pictures from our long walk in Bear Canyon on Monday. The temperature was a crisp 40 F when we started at sunrise and had climbed to a pleasant 70 F by the time we finished around 1:30PM.

To see other skies from around the world, visit Skywatch Friday. Thanks to the Skywatch team: Wren, Sandy, Sylvia, Louise, Fishing Guy and Klaus.

Fantastic captures, Diane! As everyone knows by now -- I say it often enough, I have a thing about trees/cactus etched darkly against the sky and your first pic is one of the reasons! Stunning! Hope you have a great weekend!

Your first image is the iconic shot of the cactus as silhouette over the horizon with the setting sun. I would love to have the opportunity to shoot something quite that beautiful.

Hi Diane. That's quite a temperature range! We often get 70 degrees here in January, but never 40!
