Hmmmm! :-) Another wonderful collection with my favourite being the reflections of the boulders. The flying ants aren't my thing, not since we've had them in the kitchen...

Fab photos! Aren't the wings on those flies beautiful with the transparency and the dots? And the "reflected boulders" capture is magnificent--a wonderful shot for contemplative writing.

I can't believe that there are so many different flowers blooming in the desert, and so many things to see also!

They are enormous out there.

Included the flying ants.

They are out of my imagination.

You take such wonderful pictures and how to you know the names of all those bugs? Fantastic. I would have sworn those were bats instead of flying ants. :)

So nice to see these shots. It's been over a year since I have been to Sabino Canyon. It sure looks inviting.

you are lucky that you've had rain. I could not believe that those were ants. I thought they were birds or bats.

Great pictures! I like the way you captured the ant swarm -- all the wing patterns look really cool when your picture is viewed full size.

I love the steps, of course, and the bug - really looks like the desert is blooming right now. Keep those ants there, though.
