I was up super early the morning after that first big storm and saw a small line of red in the sky. Of course I thought the Catalina fire had gotten bigger till I saw the sky just get more and more red. Then it dawn on me... sunrise... I took several photos and they look like sunsets ! I might post one on Friday.

I bet that was much needed rain, and you caught it so well. I can almost smell it, you know the smell of earth when it hasn't rained in a long time?
Simply lovely - especially the colour in the first two shots.
The eeriness of the light in the first pic is kind of symbolic with all the grief Arizona is going through right now.
Arizona has like the best lighting of anywhere in the States. Lovely series of photographs.

So glad your rains have started!!! The forest fires I have seen have been frightening to say the least. Lovely shot of the eery light and of course all the others too, especially when enlarged. That's my kind of country. I just love deserts.
