Weekend Reflections - Happy New Year

I saw this reflection in the window of a small shop downtown:

It turned out to be a decorative street lamp with a colored glass shade and whimsical metal butterflies.

And there was even a little caterpillar just beginning its journey!

New Years is a time of reflection and also a new beginning...enjoy!

  1. Firstly, my I say how very beautiful the cactus in your header is? Here in Australia, I know it as Prickly Pear which is not a very romantic name!

Secondly, I love your reflection for this week for the way you have framed it with the blue and the gold.

I wish you a happy and healthy journey into twenty ten.

  21. Very clever! Show the excellent reflections, then turn to what was reflected. The reflections are great (I like the 2nd one because it's larger), but the street lamp is really cool.

If you want to see a photo sequence of a caterpillar transforming to a butterfly, have a look. I shot this sequence this past summer.
