These common, yet adorable finches are often just outside the window singing and feeding on seeds.

ReplyDeletefrom those little birds :)))
When I want made shots they are always flying away :(
Oooh, sweet shots!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots, Diane. Nothing is ever too common to practice photographing. Here in Khartoum, the only birds that visit our feeder on the balcony are sparrows,Common bulbuls and one pigeon. Yet I've captured some of the most interesting bird images while here... have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous photos of the birds..They are just adorable.
ReplyDeleteWow. you managed to capture the birds before they flew away. Good.
ReplyDeleteThey are so pretty; flowers that fly! My bird photos are always from far away, and then because I don't have great zoom power on my camera, they are blurry. I love your lovely clear photos!
ReplyDeleteThat last photo is really great! As all the others are too. Such beautiful colors...
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet tweety tweet post!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely little finches!

ReplyDeleteCommon to you, exotic to me, so cute!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quotes. I have never seen those types of birds before. Thanks for all your beautiful nature shots.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the little yellow one Diane.
ReplyDeleteI checked the settings on my camera when I took those owl shots and they were: F1/250 ISO 400 Hope this helps. Also I find that taking them on continous works well as they are flying. Another thing you might try is using a Sport setting if you camera has one.
Joan, thank you so much, it does help. :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun to watch and listen to... you must be very patient!
ReplyDeleteLovely!
Beautiful photos of these delicate little finches. We have gold finches that come through in late Spring - I just saw my first pair yesterday!
ReplyDeleteOh what fun! I'm looking out at the same birds! I have 5 pair of purple finches hanging out, and tens of tens of goldfinches. I just love them ~karen

That little yellow one is precious and you have these outside your window singing? OMG, can I move in? I would love to see and hear them outside my place.
ReplyDeleteNot fair! Those birds are all so cute and pretty. How in the world that you get so many colors on the same type of branches?
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful birds. They are so colorful and cute.
ReplyDeleteDiane, these are great shots. Tiny birds with a great appetite for life.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Words and lovely shots !Simply fantastic !
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! I am envious of your shots. Whenever I want to take photos of the birds, they always fly. Very seldom that they "pose" for my camera.
