We went to a running event at Saguaro National Park (east) early Monday morning. The weather was pleasantly cool when we first arrived, but by the time the race was over around 8:00am, it was already hot. This area received a delightful soaking rain the next day.

Beautiful cacti against beautiful skies. I wish we had saguaros here--there are actually two very large ones that I have seen in the city, but no others. Happy Skywatching!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen an ocatilla in years. What a lovely memory it elicits.

love all your skywatch photos. happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful early morning views of the sky with different plants.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great view! Must have been nice before it got hot!
ReplyDeleteIt is a really good venue to have the run! Those flat roads should be easier for the participants as compared with places that have 'uphills'. The temperature got hot at 8am? That's really fast. I hope there will be more rain for you ;-)
ReplyDeletemust have been awesome to run through nature like that
ReplyDeletethe cloud looks like following you.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Diane! The sunset and grand blue sky make me feel so calm and pensive. I love that your pictures often feature great expanse where no one lives. But what I enjoyed most here is the close up of your cactus against the glowing sky. Truly lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love the desert sky -- and the desert against the sky. The ocotillo brings back memories. Thanks.
