SWF - Saguaro Run

We went to a running event at Saguaro National Park (east) early Monday morning. The weather was pleasantly cool when we first arrived, but by the time the race was over around 8:00am, it was already hot. This area received a delightful soaking rain the next day.

See more skies from around the world at Skywatch Friday here.

  1. Beautiful cacti against beautiful skies. I wish we had saguaros here--there are actually two very large ones that I have seen in the city, but no others. Happy Skywatching!

  19. It is a really good venue to have the run! Those flat roads should be easier for the participants as compared with places that have 'uphills'. The temperature got hot at 8am? That's really fast. I hope there will be more rain for you ;-)

  21. So beautiful Diane! The sunset and grand blue sky make me feel so calm and pensive. I love that your pictures often feature great expanse where no one lives. But what I enjoyed most here is the close up of your cactus against the glowing sky. Truly lovely.
