Roadrunners
Mom was sitting on the patio when she noticed roadrunners in the backyard. She knocked on the window to alert me so I could take pictures. We both saw four roadrunners, but I could only get three at most in a picture. The birds all looked about the same size but at least one roadrunner was being fed by another.

Soaking up the Sun
Hi there! These pictures are from the morning of May 7th. After crossing the street, the roadrunner stopped, turned its back to the sun, opened its wings and ruffled its feathers allowing the warm rays to reach its skin. Some feathers caught the light just right so I could see shimmering colors on the bird's wings and tail.

August Morning
Last Tuesday I went for a walk to enjoy the clouds and whatever else I might notice along the way.
And I was able to watch two roadrunners, assumed to be parent and "big baby" for a little while. That was a first for me to see one roadrunner feeding another. The younger one was quite persistent!

Roadrunner
in a tree...
"Some days, doing 'the best we can' may still fall short of what we would like to be able to do, but life isn't perfect -- on any front -- and doing what we can with what we have is the most we should expect of ourselves or anyone else." ~Fred Rogers
