Afternoon Sun and Shadows

As I opened the blinds in the late afternoon, line shadows appeared on the cardboard sculpture and on the wall.

Oh, beautiful sunlight. Here the clouds and fog have lifted only briefly to give but a glimpse of sun.

So cool how the shadows fall upon the sculpture and the shadow of the sculpture is cast on the wall. A really interesting shot!

Very intricate and unusual the way the shadows fall in this photo -am glad that you took it. That could be an abstract painting, right there!

Hi Diane, I happened by your blog. I've enjoyed your posts. The streaks of sun on the wall remind me of growing up in the Mojave Desert. Now I'm living up by Seattle, so at this time of year we area bit sun deprived. Thanks.--Richard

i so agree Diane, the light of the sun simply is incomparable, and the light always bring in a wonder of beauty, such as the shadows and forms.

I really like how the sun has created a shadow sculpture on the wall. Nice capture Diane.

Shadows help us to recognize the light, don't you think? And light in turn defines the shadows. Aren't we so blessed to have both as teachers?!
