After I was done grocery shopping on that rainy morning, I looked around for reflections in the wet pavement of the shopping center parking lot. I particularly liked the colors in this first reflection. I thought it was neat how the red and blue hues of the "open" sign blended into a purple mark on the ground.
Next, a reflection of magenta bougainvilleas and a yellow pole caught my eye:
Then, I was fascinated by this little vertical streak of light on the ground (in the center of the photo below). The street lights weren't turned on so I didn't know where that light was coming from.
It turned out to be from sunlight bouncing off of windows on a house on the hill a mile away.

I like them all but the first two stand out. I love the way the colors reflect in the wet street. Nice work.

The reflection colours are indeed magical! In each photo, the reflections add so much interesting dimension!
OOOH! I like the reflections on the wet pavement, especially the bright colours.

Great series.
The first picture is so cool.
I like it a lot! :)
Happy weekend!
Golly, so many reflections. You are a bit like me, now I find reflections everywhere. I am continually amazed to find where other photographers find their own reflections.
Lovely post for our meme.
Great collection Diane - I guess rain in Tucson is good for something. ;)
Some of these reflections look like abstract art! Thanks for sharing your "eye."
Beautiful reflections, and you did find many fantastic ones, Diane!
You are very observant and diligent to find so many reflections. I like the pole that turned into reflected sunlight. Very cool!
Good capture of the reflections!
E-mail «Louis» a double latte from the coffee house, will ya?
Merci!
Great reflection images! The reflections in your first photo remind me of your post on "pixel magic." =) Such a vibrant red in the bougainvillea. The light bouncing off the house window looks strong enough to be a searchlight!
What LOVELY rainy reflections! With any luck, I might have some rainy photos for NEXT week (keeping fingers crossed)
Hugs and blessings,

Round The Bend.
I am always amazing at how color can reflect so beautifully and truly on a dark pavement. And - that streak of light! Stunning.
These pictures are so beautiful, I think you had a great idea for this theme, wonderful reflections!I also loved the light in these compositions!

wow! the wet pavement sure does gives you a wonderful reflection. who could have think a pavement can create such!!!!
Those homes on the hill look great they remind me of some that are similar in Palm springs where they have space between them and what seems to be great views.
Thank you for sharing.
You have a pair of good eyes on the reflection. Some of them resemble rainbow.
I really love the multi-colored reflections! The rain added shimmer to the shots!
Enjoy your weekend, and either ways, rain or not!
You found some really cool reflections in the wet pavement. Pretty photos!
Great reflections, that streak of light really is interesting. But the first shot is my favorite, great color and composition. Kathy
The colours are so rich in the first two photos. And that streak of light is amazing for its far reaching intensity!
Pavement makes the perfect canvas for impressionist reflections. These are lovely. I also liked the way you tracked down the errant light rays.
very neat and creative reflections on the wet ground.
