Going with the flow…

Yes, sometimes water even flows in the desert!  On this short walk we follow the water as it meanders along Rattlesnake Canyon, joins with Sabino Creek, spills over the dam, and then branches off to a quieter pace.

Awesome water shots. I was wondering why it's called Rattlesnake Canyon and I am hoping it has nothing to do with snakes!

It is so wonderful to see water in the desert, cactus and other suculents will start flowering soon and gras and bushes will become green for a while.
But it can be dangerous, two friends of mine died years ago in South Amerika. They had a camp in a dry creak, far away it started rainig and the water washed them with the tend under their van.

Hartmut, I'm so sorry about your friends. Yes, water in the desert can be dangerous, there are many warning signs around here.

Love this river and that fall. They made the desert cool and breezy. I like your last pix very much. The duck look so calm swimming on the water like that.

Nice captures. It seems not long ago you were showing us pictures of dry stream beds. Now they are inviting and bursting with life.
