That first photo is amazing -- love all the variety of cacti and how it's framed with the blurring in the foreground. I can almost feel all those textures!
The other one I'm drawn to is the two saguaros; how one is just the ribs while the other is alive and well. It's honesty is so poignant. Love it.
Your photos are great to look at and I always love those birds. Living near the desert I think you are so lucky. I have always enjoy my vacations there in the past. Hopefully it won't be long before I can get out there again one day.
I'm so envious of all those Cedar Waxwings and the Phainopeplas, neither of which I ever see even though they are up here. I like the shadow of the plant on the Mockingbird. All beautiful, I need to take a walk in your 'hood.

What an amazing variety of birds you get there.
Thanks for the post, Diane. I always look forward to your desert photos. Is that an old saguaro cactus skeleton? Very unusual.

Diane great all, they do not prick in cactus;))
Good Wednesdays.
Besos.
That's the best area to explore right now! Especially near the upper part of the dam. Migrants are beginning to pass through the area!
